ABA of North Texas works with all insurance companies to provide services for our clients. We will check benefits and work with parents to give all clients the best possible options for services.
ABA of North Texas currently works with:

- Tricare South/Optum
- ABA of North Texas will check benefits for all insurance providers and work with the providers to assist our families in getting the best possible rates.
If you have insurance through one of the companies listed above, we will request benefit information on your behalf and contact you to discuss the information your carrier provides. Please note that the legislation in the state of Texas only pertains to insurance policies that are fully-funded. Self-insured insurance policies are governed by the federal government. Although some self-insured insurance policies cover Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, there is no requirement by the federal government that requires them to do so.
If You Cannot Secure Coverage:
If you cannot secure coverage, it is now possible for families to purchase an individual policy that will provide benefits for ABA, speech and other therapies. Please contact us for more information and we will refer you to a specialist who knows how to secure the best benefits for your family. ABA of North Texas will be happy to provide services as a private client. Private pay therapy is considered a medical expense for tax purposes and you are provided with detailed information for your records upon request.
Grant information and applications will be provides to potential clients. We will assist you in any way we can to fill out grant information.
You are Responsible for Payment:
Before starting the evaluation and therapy process, we want to make sure you understand that you are responsible for payment of services. ABA of North Texas has clients who pay privately, clients who file their own claims and clients who request assistance from our staff in the claims process. ABA of North Texas currently contracts with an insurance billing service familiar with ABA therapy and the difficulties in filing claims and receiving reimbursement. You are the party receiving the services and you are responsible for payment. Assistance with an appeal to help families receive reimbursement from insurance may be provided by ABA of North Texas. In the event that you do experience difficulty with reimbursement, we strongly encourage you to contact your Human Resource Department as well as the insurance company to express your concerns. Insurance companies are much more responsive to you, as their customer. You can also make a difference in coverage in the future by lobbying with your Human Resources Department.
ABA of North Texas wants payment clearly established so the focus can be placed on your child’s continued improvement. ABA of North Texas accepts cash, checks, credit cards and insurance reimbursements to be applied to a client’s balance. ABA of North Texas is in the process of obtaining in-network provider status with insurance companies in Texas. Please be patient with us as we work toward this status.
